Frequently asked questions
Put the client's number in the Google Calendar event description with a tag, for example 'Mobile: 0491 570 156'. The recognised tags are PH, Mobile, MOB, TEL, PHONE and CELL, and a tagged number always wins. Without a tag, the description is scanned for anything that looks like a phone number in your country, which is why the tag is worth using: it stops a reminder going to an invoice or reference number.
Each SMS reminder you send consumes one credit per SMS segment — up to 160 characters is one segment, and a longer message uses more. You can purchase credit packs from your dashboard. Credits never expire as long as your account is active. You can see your current balance and usage history in the web dashboard.
Credits and invoice tokens are separate. A credit is consumed when you send an SMS reminder. An invoice token is consumed when you generate an invoice — one token per invoice. They are bought in separate packs and aren't interchangeable. Like credits, invoice tokens never expire while your account is active.
Open the event in the web app to see what happened to its reminder. 'Delivered' means the carrier confirmed it reached the phone. 'Failed' shows the reason, and a failure the carrier reports is refunded. 'Sent' means the carrier accepted it and has not reported back yet, and 'no receipt' means it never did, so the message may or may not have arrived. A reminder that shows as delivered but was not seen is usually down to the phone itself: switched off, a full inbox, or messages filtered.
Open the Google Workspace Marketplace and search for 'CalendarForce', or use the 'Add to Google Calendar' button on our homepage. Click Install and grant the permissions it asks for. Once installed, the Calendar Force panel appears beside your events in Google Calendar.
You can close your account at any time by contacting admin@calendarforce.com. Credits and tokens you've already used are non-refundable, but unused balances may be refundable — see our Refund Policy for the full detail. Nothing in our policies limits the rights you have under Australian Consumer Law. If you believe there was an error with your purchase, contact us and we'll review your case.
No. Each event carries one reminder number: a tagged number if there is one, otherwise the first number found in the description. To remind two people about the same job, give each of them their own event, or put the number that should be texted behind a 'Mobile:' tag. Each reminder uses one credit per SMS segment.
